I got sick

So I got sick this weekend. :( It was the worst fever/head cold I've had in the longest time. Completely wiped me out on Saturday, but I managed to bounce back in time to make it to work. It's a new week and its good to be up and about.

I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm headed to Indy. No, not to revel in the Colts imment Super Bowl victory, but to see something much better.

Oh, and check this story out. Another "odd" story on Drudge, go figure.

I will not get sick!

I'm sitting here at work coughing my lungs out. I'm starting to think taking a half day would be a good idea. I will not get sick!

It's the old man's birthday

I'm pleased to say that he's still going strong. Good on him, man. I sent him an e-card and I called him this morning, but he's at work. I'll try to catch up to him later.

What a difference two hours can make

I came home last night and essentially crashed cue to fatigue and maybe the beginnings of a cold or flu. I promptly fell asleep and accidentially got a full eight hours of sleep for the first time this week. I've been running fine on six all week, but I can certainly feel the difference now. I might be able to go ahead with my full weekend plans after all.

On a related note, my roomate has left for the island of Kauai for a week long vacation. I'd hate on him, but it couldn't have happend to a nicer guy.

In a Weird Mood

Hmm. CSI and The Who...

CSI: Vegas= Who Are You

CSI: Miami= Won't Get Fooled Again

CSI: New York= Baba O'Riley

The logical progression has to be...

CSI: Akron, OH= Squeeze box.

Thoughts? I don't know about you but I feel absolutely certifiable.

Paul Sanchez, Gone!?

Longtime Cowboy Mouth member Paul "Papi" Sanchez has left the band. This sucks. He was the guy I always talked with first after I saw them perform. He's such a nice guy, down to earth, and very pleasant to chat with. The band will certainly miss his vocal and song writing talent.

Rumor has it that they've replaced him with Vance Degeneres, Ellen's brother.

Oh, boy.

Jack Bauer 1, Terrorists 0

At my roomates suggestion, I sat down to watch the season premiere of "24." Wow! It was the best 2 hours of television I've seen on network for the longest time. The clock at the bottom is a tired gimmick, but the story, pacing, and action were all quite enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to tonight's conclusion. JB is looking to put a big hurting on someone tonight.

ABF

Another Busy Friday. I'm trying to pump out two articles by closing time today. That is if other office work doesn't swallow me whole first. I might just have to grab a quick burger from the nearby McDonalds and eat at my desk. Ack...my stomach is protesting already. Still, I'll be happy if I get one on the site before I check out.

But enough of my griping. I'm sure eveyone else out there is busy banging away at their jobs, especially Nikki. Hang in there, kiddo. Tech can't be that bad, can it? ;)

State of the Union

Things are good right now. The holidays came and went, and I spent some quality time with the family in St. Louis. All of it wasn't as Normal Rockwell as I had hoped, but it lead to some revelations and new found respect for the family.

The website business has kept me busy as of late. There is plenty to do between editing, writing, and researching to keep me glued to my workstation for hours at a time It's nice being busy and I hope the trend continues.

I miss my family and my friends spread hither and yon across the country. I look forward to some time that I'll be able to visit and spend time with them.
